KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysia’s new series of banknotes will be in circulation from 16th July, according to Bank Negara Malaysia today.
The central bank said, after the initial announcement last May, he was talking with a number of stakeholders over several months ago to facilitate the introduction of the new series of banknotes.
Stakeholders including financial institutions, shopping malls, public transport companies, telecommunication companies, parking operators, owners and operators of payment kiosks and ticket vending machine sales.
“The authorities should speed up the calibration and modification to accept a new series of banknotes to the public.
“This includes foreign currency exchange counters or manually ticket for the public,” he said in a statement.
