This story is so sad, sometimes it makes you wonder who you can trust. But if you don’t trust anyone then you are doomed anyway. I guess welcome to life is in order
Ng Yuk Tim reportedly left her home on Monday at 11am to go to Kelana Jaya so she and a friend can work on cosplay costumes they need for an upcoming event. The cosplay fan has gone missing since then.
Days after some thorough investigation and court hearings, it was found out that Ng Yuk Tim’s friend, Poon Wai Hong murdered the young girl and stuffed her body inside a suitcase. The suitcase was then found near Kota Kemuning in Shah Alam.
The 23-year-old alledged killer was finally charged with murder in a magistrate court in Petaling Jaya.
Charged under Section 302 of the Penal Code, Poon Wai Hong, who is a building maintenance worker, seem to show no remorse or guilt upon the delivery of his sentence – a mandatory death penalty. The offender was even just wearing a white T-shirt and was barefooted when he was entering the courtroom.
It was in a certain house in Jalan PJU 1/4F, Kampung Cempaka in Kelana Jaya that Poon allegedly murdered the 15-year-old cosplay fan between 3pm to 4pm on October 21. Poon did not plea and was not granted any bail.
Also present during the court trial was Yuk Tim’s family members including her mother Sim Yee Ling who was expectedly emotional.
December 6 was the fixed date of mention set by Magistrate K.B. Elena Hong Tze Lan. DPP Saphirra Selamat will be the prosecutor. Poon had Datuk Suraj Singh as representative while Datuk R.S. Sodhi facilitated a watching brief for the family of Yuk Tim.
