Sony’s SmartWatch 2, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 now available!

Sony has released to the market three of its latest and most-awaited innovations: the Sony Smartwatch 2, Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1. The three devices which are compatible with each other are NOW AVAILABLE at the Sony website for Sony fans all over the world.

Smart Watch 2: Specifications, Features and Price

The latest generation of Sony’s Smart Watch was introduced during the Shanghai’s mobile asia expo last June. According to the company, SmartWatch 2 is the perfect mini-companion for your Sony smartphones, tablets and phablets. This 1.6-inch device can strap on to your wrist anytime and ready for the go. It is dustproof and water-resistant perfect even during rainy seasons. It sports a 220×176 pixel screen and can last from 3-4 days of battery life.

But what can one do with a smart watch 2? For one, you can pair it to any of your Sony devices as it supports NFC for sharing easily with Android 4.0+ smartphones. It can also alert you when you have a new e-mail via the Gmail app, any Facebook notification or the latest direct message from your Twitter friends. With over 200 applications uniquely designed and exclusive for the Smart Watch – users can personalize their handy gadget accoruding to their lifestyle. Businessmen can use it to answer phone by just touching the risk or control presentations remotely via Presentation Pal. It can also display Caller ID information and Calendar entries for easy viewing. It also has its very own mapping applications for tracking running time for those Fitness buffs.

Sony’s Xperia Z Ultra: Specifications, Features and Price

A larger version of Sony’s flagship smartphone Xperia, Xperia Z Ultra is a bigger and better version. This latest version boasts of a 6.4-inch Full high-definition display that is considered as an ultrathin unit of only 6.5 mm thick. The screen also uses Sony’s Triluminos technology that uses richer, more natural color perfect for display. Matching the great display is an even greater processor – a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that runs an Android 4.2 operating system.

Another interesting feature of this latest smartphone is it’s being waterproof. In fact, it has reached an IP55 rating – which makes it safe for one to take pictures and shoot videos underwater using its 8-megapixel camera.


Sony Xperia Z Ultra is avaiable in white, black or purple chassis at $649.99 or RM2062.42 for HSPA and $679.99 or RM2157.61 for LTE-ready models.

Xperia Z1: Specifications, Features and Price

Another available smartphone from from Sony is a more advanced version of it’s flagship Xperia phones, Xperia Z1 which sports a sky-high 20.7-megapixel camera set to capture high-quality photos. To make it even more fancier for Photography enthusiasts, it also installed with a 1/2.3 inch sensor that makes photography even more precise. But there is more to Xperia Z1 than just being waterproof. In fact, Xperia Z1 can take photos and videos up to 5 feet underwater.

The display is also a great feature of this phone. It’s 5-inch screen has 1080p resolution and is installed with Sony’s triluminos technology that makes its display natural and stark. The hardware and software would also not disappoint as the combination of a 2.2GHz quadcore Qualcomm processor is perfect with Adreno 330 graphics and 2 GB of RAM. It is installed with an Android 4.2.2 “Jelly Bean” Operationg system.
