The Australian – Malaysian Business Council Includes Students As Members

The Australian-Malaysian Business Council, Victorian chapter, has made the decision to include students in their membership. They have done this with the aim of grooming the students for leadership roles in the future. The announcement was made at the 56th anniversary gala dinner of Malaysia’s independence.

Joe Perri, the AMBC Victorian President said

“I have had the privilege of addressing Malaysian students, and I have to say how impressed I am with Malaysia’s youth,”

He also stated

“They are genuinely focused and determined to see that their country and its people enjoy a prosperous future.”

Mr Perri also said that as a business group the Australian-Malaysian Business Council had a role to play to engage the young people who would soon be Malaysia’s captains of industry and professional leaders. The Malaysian Consul General to Victoria, Datuk Dr Mohd Rameez Yahaya , also spoke of the history of Malaysia since its independance.
