Rafizi Hamdan, cyclist death in car accident

KUALA LUMPUR: A cyclist from the Bicycle Club Le Tua in the cases of fatal hit-run car while cycling in the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) near the edge Taman Melawati on 18 March 2012.

Rafizi Hamdan, 37, who uses the route leading to the Batu 12 Gombak died at the scene due to severe head injuries after being hit from the rear car, believed to be of the Proton Saga, which then act to escape.



Rafizi which is said to want join other members of the cycling club at the Batu 12 Gombak for recreational activities on weekends.

Chief Polis of Daerah Ampang ACP Amirudin Jamaludin said case was being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for dangerous driving causing death.

Rafizi, who hails from Perth Hills Park, Seremban, is married and has two children. National bicycle rider Anuar Manan said Rafizi country is one of the sponsors of a BicycleClub Le Tua.
